Have you been feeling that entrepreneurial spark bubbling up in this new year?

The first Pints & Preneurs event is taking place at The NEON movie theater, featuring a fitting film you’ll be able to enjoy with a cold one in hand. The monthly Pints & Preneurs series is about connecting — with entrepreneurial peers, with fellow local biz lovers, with new friends and neighbors working to build a vibrant economic community in Dayton.

Happening at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, The NEON is showing Generation Startup The Film. The movie showed at The NEON two years ago and quickly sold out.

“GENERATION STARTUP takes us to the front lines of entrepreneurship in America, capturing the struggles and triumphs of six recent college graduates who put everything on the line to build startups in Detroit. Shot over 17 months, it’s an honest, in-the-trenches look at what it takes to launch a startup. Directed by Academy Award winner Cynthia Wade and award-winning filmmaker Cheryl Miller Houser, the film celebrates risk-taking, urban revitalization and diversity while delivering a vital call-to-action — with entrepreneurship at a record low, the country’s economic future is at stake,” according to the event’s page.
