In a similar fashion to thousands of other businesses across the Miami Valley, the Decoy Art Center in Beavercreek is closing its doors to the public to avoid furthering the spread of the coronavirus. On March 19, the art center closed to the public, but presented its loyal customers with a new way to create art from the comfort of their homes.

The center is selling pottery and canvas to-go kits on its website for those stuck at home and in need of an artistic distraction. The kits start at $6 for a mini canvas, $10 for acrylic on pottery and $20 for glaze on pottery. There are a number of unique designs to choose from (many that children will also adore) and are available for purchase by visiting decoy-art.com.

Each kit includes paint and a plastic brush. Unless noted otherwise, the kit includes yellow, red, blue, white and black paint colors. Synthetic bristle brushes are also available for purchase with the kits. Some projects are suggested to be fired. For those who are less artistically-inclined but still want to give this unique project a try, these kits come with helpful and detailed notes.
