Sip your wine in a gorgeous setting at this weekend’s wine festival

Festival goers and wine lover’s from across Butler County and beyond will enjoy wine tastings, food, live music and more during the Hanover Winery Wine Festival on Friday, Aug. 18 and Saturday, Aug. 19.

Hanover Winery owners Eddie and Elizabeth McDonald started the festival in 2010 as an anniversary celebration and a customer appreciation event. Every year since, they have continued the tradition during the summer, and the festival has grown in popularity each year. A large crowd usually turns out both days of the festival. Last year, around 1,000 guests attended the two-day event.

“This is something we started after our first year, as an anniversary celebration, and people have really enjoyed it. It’s a great thing for the community, to draw people to Hanover Township and Butler County because people come from all over to be here, and to enjoy the music,” said Eddie McDonald.

“This started out as a ‘thank you’ to all of our loyal customers, and we’ve continued to do it every year for basically the same reason. It’s a good opportunity for everyone to get together and have a good time,” said Elizabeth McDonald.
