The Longest Table Dayton 2019 event at Welcome Stadium

It’s been proven over the last few years that magic happens when hundreds of Daytonians gather to break bread.

Last Saturday's Longest Table Dayton event was canceled because of bad weather. "The Longest Picnic Blanket," as the 2019 Longest Table event was being called, was going to stretch across the lawn at Levitt Pavilion while strangers connected and inspired each other. Luckily, people do not need to wait another year before joining the next Longest Table conversation.

This Saturday, June 22, The Longest Table Dayton is sweetening the deal by asking guests to bring a dessert to share with neighbors. The event will be hosted at Welcome Stadium, located at 1601 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. in Dayton, and lunch will begin at 2 p.m. Unlike the planned picnic, food will be provided at this Neighborhood Meal.

“The meal is open to all members of our community. We're excited to host an opportunity for residents and community leaders to learn more about each other. While the meal is specifically being hosted by the Carillon, Edgemont, Old North Dayton, McCook Field neighborhoods, we're inviting anyone to join us!”
