There's nothing quite like fresh, locally-sourced produce, and you'll have your chance to shop from local farms this weekend.

Five produce vendors will join the more than 40 year-round indoor vendors, beginning this Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the 2nd Street Market, 600 E. Second St. in downtown Dayton.

The participating vendors include Garber Farms (indoor and outdoor), Mile Creek Farm (organic), Gypsy Chick Farm, Cressell's Produce and Hungry Toad Farm (organic).

Other vendors will join the indoor and outdoor mix during the summer season.

The outdoor farmers market will be open through the fall harvest season, which typically lasts until early October, according to Five Rivers Metroparks.

Visit the Market's webpage or follow the 2nd Street Market Facebook page for updates.

The Market is open Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
