Organizers of local community Thanksgiving dinners are preparing to welcome those seeking hot meals or the kindness and good cheer that comes with the holiday like a warm slice of pumpkin pie.

Here is a rundown of some local community Thanksgiving celebrations:

💛FEAST OF GIVING

The 11th Annual Feast of Giving will be held on Thursday, Nov. 28, at the Dayton Convention Center, 22 E. Fifth St. All are welcome to attend and enjoy free live music, entertainment and a traditional, full holiday meal. This year a special invitation is extended to all tornado survivors.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and dinner will be served until 2 p.m. No tickets needed. Free parking in the Oregon District Garage across from the Dayton Convention Center. RTA and Project Mobility will be offering free transportation to and from the convention center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you need more information about these RTA services, you can call 937-425-8300.

💛EL SOMBRERO

El Sombrero, a Mexican restaurant located at 700 N. County Road 25A in Troy, will offer a free, traditional Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. This is the 25th year for this annual event. This year's feast will include turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. 💛HOUSE OF BREAD

The House of Bread, a community kitchen located at 9 Orth Ave. off West Riverview Avenue, will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All are welcome. For more information, visit www.houseofbread.org or call 937-226-1520.

💛THE LINCOLN COMMUNITY CENTER 

The Lincoln Community Center, located at 110 Ash St. in Troy, will serve a meal highlighted by deep-fried turkey during its annual community Thanksgiving feast. It starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, the day before Thanksgiving. The meal also includes green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, corn pudding, dinner rolls, assorted desserts and drinks. 💛DAYTON GOSPEL MISSION
