AleFeast reveals beer and food pairings, including 1st peek at new sandwich shop

The folks who organize and oversee this Saturday’s AleFeast -- the companion event to the flagship summer AleFest -- have released the event’s beer-and-food pairings.

Oh, and there’s wine, too.

The event turns 10 years old this year, and it has embraced the slogan, “Craft Beer Meets Fine Food.” This year, the food pairings will include two booths from Meadowlark and Wheat Penny founder Elizabeth Wiley and her culinary team, who are launching ScissorTail Sandwich Shop in Kettering this summer.

AleFeast will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Dayton Convention Center in downtown Dayton. More than 50 local, national, and international craft breweries will offer beers paired with food offerings from several local restaurants, brewpubs and other food purveyors. One or two wines also will be offered at each food/beer pairing station.
