Althea Harper collection comes to The Greene Saturday

BEAVERCREEK — Area residents will finally be able to purchase wares locally created by “Project Runway” designer Althea Harper.

Spring and summer dresses, skirts and other clothing from the Oakwood High School grad’s high-end and economical lines will be sold at Envy XOXO at The Greene, 73 Chestnut St., Beavercreek, starting Saturday, May 15.

“I am really excited to have my line sold in the Dayton area because that is my hometown, and it is great to have so many of my family and friends accessible to the line,” Harper said.

A free trunk show featuring Harper is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Envy owner Tara Arnold said, noting that RSVPs are required.

The trunk show will include refreshments from The Wine Loft and hair and make-up styled by Hausfelds Salon and Spa.

Harper, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, lives in New York.

The daughter of James and Christina Harper of Oakwood, she placed second during the sixth season of the popular competition-reality show.

Items in her Althea Harper line are $100 to $500. Designs from her Sittella collection are $50 to $150.
