According to the health website Greatist, the University of Dayton is one of the 25 healthiest colleges in the United States according to its latest survey.

Greatist looked at schools that went the extra mile to provide students with healthy foods, quality fitness facilities and physical and mental health services.

Each school that was nominated was sent a survey to help narrow the field to 25. The 25 schools on the list are not ranked in any particular order.

Dayton was among three Ohio schools in the top 25. The other two schools are Oberlin College and Kenyon College.

"In addition to typical vegan, vegetarian, and allergy-friendly fare, the school started offering halal and authentic Chinese food options in recent years after getting requests from its undergrads, which include a large population of international students," the survey said.

Also mentioned in the report was Dayton's RecPlex facility. The facility, which is free for full-time students at UD, features rock climbing, basketball and swimming along with its workout facility.
