DIY under $10: reusable dryer sheets

Want to save money and trips to the store?

Dryer sheets not only help ward of static in your clothes, but they also offer a fresh smell with each load you do. However, buying dryer sheets can seem like an unnecessary expense once you do this do-it-yourself project.

For just $3 I can give you tons of dryer sheets that you can use again and again. Don’t believe me, check this out.

Supplies needed

Items I purchased:

• Two 2-packs of regular sponges — $1 each at the Dollar Tree

• One sealed container — $1 at the Dollar Tree

Items I already had:

• Scissors

• Liquid Fabric Softener

• Water

Directions

1. Use your scissors and cut each sponge into four long strips.

2. Fill your container with 1 part fabric softener to 3 parts water.

3. Place your sponge strips into this mixture. Have enough liquid in your container to allow all of your sponge strips to fully soak up the liquid.

4. When ready to use, squeeze any access liquid from a couple of the sponge strips and throw them into your dryer with your clothes.

5. Once your clothes have been dried, remove the sponge strips you have used and place them back into the container of liquid.
