Will your local McDonald's start serving breakfast all day?

The fast food chain McDonald's announced Tuesday afternoon that part of its breakfast menu will be served all-day nationwide starting Oct. 6.

McDonald's said in a press release that the reason for the move to keep the breakfast menu past 10:30 a.m. is due to demand. The company said it received 120,000 Tweets from customers asking when will the chain add breakfast all day.

McDonald's said that the menu will focus on either McMuffin or biscuit products. So if you happen to like a sausage biscuit with an egg McMuffin, you are out of luck. But want a sausage sandwich with French fries? Starting next month, you are in luck. The decision on whether a restaurant focuses on biscuits or muffins will be at the local level.

Along with the breakfast sandwiches, the restaurant will also have hot cakes, sausage burritos, parfaits and oatmeal on its all-day menu.
