Dave Yost, an award-winning former county auditor and current prosecuting attorney, received the Ohio Society of CPAs’ endorsement in large part due to his experience and priorities: building on state Auditor’s Mary Taylor’s strong financial controls across state and local government, significantly expanding Ohio’s performance audit program to help identify smart practices and make recipients accountable for recommended changes, and aggressively evaluating suspected fraudulent activities on the part of public officials.
Yost has a strong desire to maintain a close working relationship with Ohio CPAs as our state’s next state auditor to ensure operations are efficient and effective. A growing list of Ohio leaders are supporting his candidacy. He will be an asset to our state.
‘A common-sense, less partisan approach’
This letter of endorsement for David Pepper was written by Pete Witte, a Cincinnati business owner.
David Pepper enjoys strong support from those in his own party. But the reason he’s succeeded in southwest Ohio — both in winning office and getting things done — is because many Republicans and independents also support him. I am one such Republican.
David has always brought a common-sense, less partisan approach to public service. When Cincinnati needed to redouble public safety efforts, he added police. When the county faced a financial crisis, he cut spending to its lowest level in 12 years.
He’s reduced property tax rates five times in seven years, while fighting for new jobs.
As auditor, he will take the same independent approach across the state, ensuring that our dollars are spent wisely, cutting spending and rooting out waste and fraud.
