It’s officially time to re-evaluate your online dating strategy.  If you find yourself fledgling in that department, you’re not alone.

Some feel like online dating sites like Match.com have infiltrated the traditional dating scene – but we're here to say – more modern times have come.

This week Match.com released results of the 2015 "Singles in America" Survey. In 2015, 33 percent of singles met their last first date through online dating vs. the 26 percent that met their last first date through a friend.

Our survey takeaways? Avoid using the term "on fleek," and use these helpful tips for scoring a match.

DO’S:

1. Go out for sushi
According to the survey results, going out for sushi increases the likelihood of a second date by 170 percent. Before you go, make sure you reference our guide to the best places to get sushi in Dayton.

2. Get a drink
Going out for cocktails amps your chances for scoring a second date by 137 percent. It would be wise of you to review our list of the 11 happiest happy hours in Dayton. Another tidbit: After-dinner drinks up your chances by 59 percent.

3. Go on an evening date
60 percent of singles prefer an evening date and Saturday and Friday are the most optimal. Thirty-nine percent prefer to go out on Saturday night and 34 percent prefer to go out on Friday night.

DON’TS:

1. DON'T talk about your ex or your date's ex
Only 14 percent of singles are up for talking about their ex, according to the SinglesInAmerica survey.

2. Avoid talking about sports
An evening watching football on your couch is probably not a solid option for a first date, and online daters simply don't care. Less than 25 percent of men and women care about sports when it comes to online dating.

3. DON'T ask her to make out with you
If you needed further validation about this being a good or bad idea, only 7 percent of women want you to make out at the end of the first date.

4. DON'T use the term "on fleek" -- it decreases chances for a second date by 26 percent
