Your guide to indoor fun for the kids

Spring is here, but the weather still isn’t nice enough for parents and kids to get outdoors regularly. If you are the parent of a child 5 or younger, chances are you’ve been climbing the walls as of late, looking for any excuse to scoop up your little one and get out of the house.

We’ve looked far and wide for some of the best mini-outings in the Miami Valley for the under-5 set. Many of these ideas are also well-suited for school-age children during spring break.

Here is a sampling of activities you can try, even if it’s pouring outside or just plain chilly. Some will cost you a little bit; others are completely free. Either way, it’s worth the effort to give your child and yourself a change of scenery for a few hours.
