Man taken to hospital after 2-vehicle crash near Waynesville

A man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital South Monday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash near Waynesville.

The crash happened at 3:20 p.m. on U.S. 42 just north of North Waynesville Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash victim suffered a large puncture wound to the neck area, according to initial reports.

The crash remains under investigation.
