The body was reportedly in a wooded area about 200 yards from the road, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies found the person, who they said “appeared to be beyond help.” The body was later removed from the scene after preliminary investigation.
The body remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office’s Special Investigations Unit.
