Fairborn police identified the fatal victim as a woman, but no additional details were released.
An officer on patrol at 9:30 p.m. in the 110 block of Kauffman Avenue heard a crashing sound and discovered the wreck in the middle of the road.
Both vehicles had heavy, front-end and disabling damage. A male driver and female passenger were in one vehicle and a female driver and a male and a female passenger in the second.
The female driver of the second vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is still under investigation by Fairborn police. No charges have been filed in connection to the crash at this time.
