Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County has opened registration for more than 3,000 coronavirus vaccine appointments in Dayton Saturday.

The Pfizer vaccine will be administered at the Dayton Convention Center, 22 E. Fifth St.

The clinic is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to anyone ages 18 and older. The vaccine is available at no cost.

To register, visit gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov or call 1-833-4-ASK ODH (1-833-427-5634); or visit Public Health’s website at www.phdmc.org or call 937-225-6217.

Parking is available at the Dayton Transportation Center, 111 E. Fifth St.

Originally, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine was to be administered but it was changed to the Pfizer vaccine because there is a temporary halt to the J&J vaccine due to rare blood clots reported in six people in the U.S. after they received the vaccine.
