More than 500 without power after storms move through on Tuesday

Strong storms moved through the area Tuesday night, with winds bringing down tree limbs and power lines.

AES Ohio, formerly Dayton Power & Light Co., reported more than 2,128 customers were without power as of 10 p.m. Tuesday night. At 8:38 a.m., that number had gone down to 568 customers, mostly in Montgomery and Greene counties.

Combined with outages at Duke Energy and Ohio Edison, Tuesday evening more than 3,000 people were without power.

By Wednesday morning, most Duke Energy and Ohio Edison customers’ service was restored. As of 8:38 a.m., 234 AES customers in Greene County and 310 in Montgomery County remained without power.
