Woman shot in leg in Dayton

A woman was shot in the leg late Saturday morning in Dayton.

The call came in at 11:52 a.m. following the shooting reported in the 600 block of Neal Avenue, according to Montgomery Regional County Dispatch.

“A female stated she had been shot,” dispatch records stated.

The woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg, dispatch said.

The cause of the shooting is not yet known.
