The first coronavirus related death has been confirmed in the county, according to the Darke County General Health District.

A 76-year-old man who was a resident of Greenville Health and Rehabilitation tested positive for COVID-19.
“As the cases begin to increase in number, we may see more fatalities,” a release from the county’s health district said.
Over the weekend, 12 cases of the virus were confirmed in Darke County and another case was confirmed today.
Darke County now has a total of 13 confirmed cases and one death due to the coronavirus.
