The appointment comes has Catholic Health “has evolved to a new organization to prepare for value-based health delivery and further implementation of its 2014-2018 Strategic Direction.”
Catholic Health Chief Executive Officer Michael Connelly said in a statement he looks forward to May’s “strategic leadership and management for CHP’s operational growth and evolution into the future.”
“We will continue to transform care delivery, operational processes and system functions in support of our ministry and our vision for a health system that helps all individuals achieve optimum health,” Connelly said.
May assumed earlier in 2013 the position of executive vice president of Catholic Health full-time, a role he was promoted to in 2012. Prior to that, May held a dual role, as a divisional CEO and senior vice president of CHP since 2006, according to Mercy Health, the Cincinnati hospital division of Catholic Health.
The Mercy Health - Southwest Ohio region includes the Butler County hospital Mercy Health — Fairfield Hospital.
