Armed robber wearing ski mask, gets away with cash

Dayton Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect who pointed a handgun in the victim's face and then demanded cash.

The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of S. Garland Avenue, on the city's east side.

The victim was walking when a man wearing a ski mask came up from behind, pointed a gun and demanded cash. After taking the money, the suspect fled East in an alley, toward East Fifth Street. Police attempted tracking the suspect using a K-9 but that search came up empty.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his mid 20s, between 5'10 and 6'2. He was wearing a blue hoodie with dark blue jeans and gray shoes. A ski mask covered his face but he may have a thick mustache.

If you have any further information, you're asked to contact the Dayton Police.
