Arraignment Friday in Christmas murder case in Franklin Twp.

The suspect charged with the fatal shooting of a Carlisle man found dead in a road on Christmas night is scheduled for arraignment Friday in Franklin Municipal Court.

Zackary L. Wilson, 25, remained in the Warren County Jail on $500,000 bond Thursday, charged in the murder of Jeremy T. Foxx, 24, of Carlisle.

The case began when police responded at 9:17 p.m. Dec. 25 to reports of shots fired on Montgomery Avenue in Carlisle.

Foxx’s body was reported by a passerby and found by sheriff’s deputies less than hour later in a section of Montgomery Avenue in Franklin Twp., apparently dead from a gunshot wound.

Wilson was arrested on Dec. 27 after surrendering to sheriff’s deputies after a warrant for his arrest was issued from the Franklin court.

On Thursday, Wilson was still listed as homeless. Court officials in Franklin Municipal Court said they were unable to find any record for him.

Authorities also seized an older-model Chevrolet long-bed truck with a loud exhaust and missing windshield believed to have been involved in the incident.

Wilson is facing a single murder charge.

He is to be arraigned by Franklin Municipal Judge Rupert Ruppert, using a video connection with the county jail in Lebanon. The courthouse is to be closed to the public.
