Bond set at $150K for suspect in Troy stabbing

9/2 UPDATE @ 3:45 p.m.:

In Troy, bond was set at $150,000 for Shawn Moore, of Piqua, who remains in the Miami County Jail stemming from a stabbing that occurred Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the felonious assault was an act of retaliation. The male victim survived. Police say there could be more charges as the investigation continues.

Police are looking for independent witnesses.

9/1 UPDATE @ 11 a.m.:

Police have identified the stabbing victim as Mr. Kim Roberts of Troy.

Shawn Moore, 39, also from Troy was arrested in connection to this incident, according to police. Jail records show Moore is facing a felonious assault charge. Police said prosecutors could consider more charges.

8/31 UPDATE @ 8:23 p.m.:

Police are now questioning whether a stabbing Sunday afternoon was a home invasion at all.

The incident was reported around 3:45 p.m. in an apartment in the 1500 block of Hawk Circle.

The stabbing victim, who suffered wounds to the chest and head, was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center. He was then transferred by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. The victim's injuries do not appear to be critical, according to police.

Police initially were told the incident was a home invasion, but no longer believe that is the case. They also don't believe the incident is drug related.

Police questioned a half-dozen people and say they expect to file charges against at least one person involved.

The suspects reportedly were armed with a gun and knife.
