Shockey, who was a bouncer at Bargos Grill & Tap, 1151 Brown St., was fired after the business owner watched a video of the attack. Another patron who recorded it with a cell phone camera posted the video on YouTube.
About midnight Thursday, Shockey asked the victim, Patrick Rourke, 18, if he was selling drugs, and if that was the case, he’d need a cut of the profits, according to a Dayton police incident report.
Rourke responded that he was not selling drugs, but Shockey began hitting him. Rourke fell to the ground, and Shockey can be seen on top of the victim, punching him in the face multiple times.
Shockey is to appear in court Oct. 30.
