Cell phone store robbed

MIDDLETOWN — Police are looking for a man they say robbed a local cell phone store at gunpoint Saturday, April 10.

Middletown police say the Crickett cellular phone store at 1515 Germantown Road was robbed shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday. Police say a man came into the store displaying a handgun and demanding money.

The suspect is described as a young black male, roughly 6 feet 1 inch tall, with light complexion, green eyes, and probably left-handed. At the time of the robbery he was wearing black clothes.

He was last seen running southwest away from the business. Police canvassed the neighborhood and tracked the man with a police dog, but officers believe he got into a vehicle on Woodburn Avenue and fled the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police department at (513) 425-7724.
