Jones was also indicted on a single count of discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises and two counts having weapons while under disability.
All of the counts, except for the having weapons under disability counts, include three‐year firearm specifications. At the time the crime, the defendant was on probation for a trafficking in marijuana conviction.
Jones has previously been sentenced to prison three times for convictions of robbery, escape and having weapons while under disability.
The defendant is currently in custody, being held on a $100,000 bond.

A Kettering man shot in Dayton Friday night has died. The gunshot victim was identified as 25-year-old Joshua Cohen, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. His death is ruled a homicide.

Police were called to Miami Valley Hospital early today for a large fight reportedly involving family members in the waiting room for the man shot Friday night on Leland Avenue, police said.
Dayton police were called to assist hospital police shortly before 2 a.m. The fight reportedly involved more than a dozen people.
The gunshot victim’s name, age and condition was still not available.

Homicide detectives were called to the shooting scene tonight in the 900 block of Leland Avenue.
The street in the area of the shooting remains blocked.
One person was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, but the gunshot victim’s name, age and condition were not available.
FIRST REPORT
A gunshot victim was taken tonight to Miami Valley Hospital.
The shooting was reported around 10 p.m. in the 900 block of Leland Avenue, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
A caller reported that a man fired off 10 shots before the victim was found.
