The Butler County Regional Narcotics (BURN) task force arrested them at about 3 p.m. Friday, June 4, in the Bridgewater Falls shopping center in Fairfield Twp.
Peck and Turner were approached while in the middle of a drug deal, deputies say. Peck tried to flee, resisted arrest and was attempting to discard the drugs when he was caught, according to the sheriff’s office. He was reportedly in possession of 8 grams of heroin that was packaged for sale and more than $4,700 in cash.
Before he was caught, Peck called his parents, whom he asked to destroy drugs and move his money, according to deputies. His father, Gregory Peck, 54, did destroy the drugs, deputies said.
Deputies said they learned of the tampering when they arrived with a search warrant.
Subsequently, the elder Peck was arrested and taken to the Butler County Jail.
Roughly $10,200 was located at another location.
The younger Peck faces felony charges of drug trafficking, possession of drugs and tampering with evidence. Turner faces felony charges of drug trafficking and permitting drug abuse. The elder Peck faces felony tampering charges.
