Deputies seek woman accused of selling pot to kids

UPDATE @ 11:50 p.m. (Jan 8): Deputies are looking for a woman accused of selling pot to children.

Shaniqua Allen-Brown was indicted this week on two felony counts of trafficking in marijuana, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report released Thursday.

Her indictment stems from her arrest Oct. 9 in Dayton.

An arrest warrant was issued Thursday following her indictment, but as of tonight she was not in jail, according to online jail records and court documents.

A 30-year-old woman was found with nearly an ounce of marijuana and is suspected of selling it to children.

Shaniqua Allen-Brown was arrested Friday afternoon, Oct. 9, 2015) in the area of South Main and Fourth streets, according to the Dayton police report.

A witness reported seeing the suspect sitting on a bench at the intersection and selling drugs, including alleged transactions with children, according to the report.

Police said officers found a total of approximately 23 grams of pot in 20 individually-wrapped packages in Brown’s pocket.

The suspect is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of trafficking in drugs.
