Griffin is a one-time Edison State Community College freshman basketball player from Columbus Linden McKinley High School. His address was listed as being in Piqua, the city where Edison is located. The school’s website shows Griffin averaged 12.6 points in 10 games from Nov. 2 until Dec. 17, 2016, but didn’t play after that.
The bill of information — which doesn’t include a narrative — lists 12 counts that show Griffin was trespassing when he had marijuana, carried a loaded handgun and was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
The counts also indicated Griffin’s urine had at least 35 nanograms of marijuana metabolite, that he didn’t comply with the lawful order of a police officer and that he did “recklessly expose his private parts.”
Griffin also is accused of disorderly conduct in the presence of a law enforcement officer and that he operated a motor vehicle without being in reasonable control.
A Greene County Sheriff’s Office report said Griffin “was involved in a situation on the grounds of Wright-Patterson AFB” and arrested at 2 p.m. on Jan. 27. Base officials refused to release any police report involving Griffin.
The sheriff’s office report said Griffin also had a warrant for arrest after failing to appear in a Champaign County Court for a traffic violation. No court dates have been set in Griffin’s federal case.
