Drive-by shooting: One shot, one grazed by gunfire in Trotwood

Police and medics were called late Thursday night after two men were injured during a drive-by shooting in the first block of Rio Grande Avenue in Trotwood.

A 911 caller reported just before 11 p.m. that two cars drove up and the occupants shot up her house, striking her nephew while he was outside talking with her son. The woman also said her son needed to go to the hospital.

One person was shot in the forearm, and police found shell casings in the street, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

The second victim suffered a graze wound, a medic said.

The house sustained multiple bullet holes, police said.

Another 911 caller reported hearing multiple gunshots, possibly as many as 10.
