Officers said they hope to have a warrant for the suspect approved tomorrow.
INITIAL REPORT:
Police need your help to identify a suspected purse snatcher police said struck at the entrance of the Meijer store, 9200 N. Main St., in Englewood, on Monday afternoon.
A woman dressed in pink pants and a gray T-shirt took an elderly woman’s purse just before 3 p.m. as the victim was about to enter the store, Englewood police said in a Facebook post tonight.
The suspect fled in a maroon 2002 Honda bearing Ohio temporary registration C666842. The vehicle has front damage, no windshield and was reportedly driven by a male, police said.
The police department released photos of the crime, captured by store surveillance cameras. Those photos appear with this story.
