Family finds more than $2,000 in fake $100 bills in Dayton

A Dayton family found more than $2,000 in counterfeit $100 bills on Monday night in front of their house.

Police were called shortly after 8 p.m. to the 100 block of Crown Avenue after they found one fake $100 bill on their porch and 19 more in the bushes in front of their home.

An officer found one last fake $100 bill at the bottom of the bushes, according to a Dayton police report.

All of the counterfeit currency had the same serial number of LB45440078L, the report stated.
