The shooter left before police arrived, police said.
Both victims were taken to Van Wert County Hospital, according to police, who gave no indication about their conditions. A nursing supervisor would neither confirm nor deny the victims had been admitted.
Police, the county sheriff's office and the Ohio Highway Patrol were searching late Thursday for the suspect. The police department declined to release any further information about the victims or the suspect.
