15 graduate from juvenile drug court

Hearing a message from actor Vincent M. Ward II, 15 teenagers graduated Thursday morning from the Montgomery County Juvenile Drug Court program.

Judge Anthony Capizzi presented certificates.

Ward, a Trotwood-Madison graduate who is on television shows including The Walking Dead and True Blood, told staff, parents and the graduates that “life is about choices. Rise and grind every day. Every day.”

In its eighth year, drug court is designed to assist in the rehabilitation of juvenile offenders who have been adversely affected by drugs and alcohol. The court provides supervised treatment and case management, mandatory drug testing, community supervision and incentives and sanctions to encourage appropriate behavior.
