Butler County grand jury

The Butler County grand jury returned 43 indictments during its fourth session in August. The grand jury also returned six cases to the lower courts for further disposition.

James Hall, 46, 935 Corliss Ave., Hamilton; indicted on three counts of possession of drugs, and one count each of trafficking in heroin, trafficking in marijuana, possession of heroin and aggravated possession of drugs.

Amber N. Presta, 26, 3036 Granny Smith Lane, Middletown; indicted on two counts of furnishing alcohol to an underage person, and one count each of theft (direct), unauthorized use of a vehicle, misuse of credit cards and petty theft.

Barbara Smith, 47, 1214 Bonacker, Hamilton; indicted on one count each of possession of cocaine and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Edward Wilkerson, 40, 5230 Garver Elliott Road, Oxford; indicted on one count of possession of cocaine.

Phillip A. Holman, 20, 6934 Hendrickson Road, Middletown; certified back to the lower court on one count each of criminal trespass, petty theft and underage possession.

A burglary involving a purse and electronic items occurred between 9:32 a.m. Aug. 20 and 9 p.m. Aug. 21 from the 400 block of Brookfield Drive. Reported value is $2,185.

A burglary involving a flat-screen TV, video games and shoes occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. Aug. 11 from the 700 block of Orchardglow Close Street. Reported value is $5,075.

A burglary involving electronic items occurred between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 23 from the 700 block of Orchardglow Close Street. Reported value is $3,285.

The theft of a semi truck occurred between 5 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Aug. 23 from the 4300 block of Muhlhauser Road. Reported value is $70,000.

A burglary involving electronic items and jewelry Aug. 23 occurred in the 700 block of Orchardglow Close Street. Reported value is $1,900.

A burglary involving a watch occurred between 7:40 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 24 from the 5700 block of Lake Mead Drive. Reported value is $5,000.

The theft of an American Hauler Model NH58SA box trailer occurred between 6 p.m. Aug. 25 and 9 a.m. Aug. 26 from the 100 block of Bent Tree Drive. Reported value is $2,100.

The theft of a backpack blower and chain saw occurred between 7 p.m. Aug. 25 and 4:30 a.m. Aug. 26 from South Trace Golf Course, 2200 John Gray Road. Reported value is $1,500.

The theft of a TV, Sony Playstation 3, wireless controllers and seven Playstation 3 video games occurred between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 26 from an apartment in the 3800 block of Mack Road. Reported value is $1,450.

Criminal mischief and damaging occurred between 2 and 3 a.m. Aug. 29 on the 500 block of Brookfield Drive. A gunshot hole went through an apartment wall and penetrated the carpet and stairs in the hallway. Reported damage is $500.

A burglary involving $400, two boxes of moving wrap and a bundle of moving pads occurred between 6 p.m. Aug. 30 and 7 a.m. Aug. 31 from Two Men and a Truck, 7255 Dixie Highway. Reported value is $728.

A robbery occurred at 8:55 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 4500 block of Dixie Highway. Subject stated he was walking and three known males drove up to him, threatened him and told him to turn over his wallet, cell phone, cigarettes and items in his pockets. After they got them, they drove away north on Dixie Highway in a blue Saturn.

A theft of a Rolex Submariner watch occurred between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 1 from the 3500 block of Woodridge Ave. Reported value is $6,000.

Criminal mischief and menacing occurred at 1:50 a.m. Sept. 1. A taxi driver reported he was called to McKinley’s Pub to pick up a couple. The male, later identified as Robby M. Wright, was very intoxicated and had been physically removed from the pub for being combative. Once at a destination on the 5400 block of Shady Meadows Drive, Wright became irate and made threats to the driver and struck the trunk of the taxi with his hand. Wright continued making threats and urinated in the street. Wright admitted to the responding officer he had an argument with the driver because he believed he was lying about serving in the military, and Wright took it personally because he was a veteran.

A burglary and theft of a TV and prescription pills occurred between 5 and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 2 from the 6700 block of Gilmore Road. Reported value is $2,277.

West Chester Twp. Police Department

Someone stole $10,000 in hair care products and a computer valued at $5,000 between Sept. 23-25 from The Mandarine Salon & Spa on Voice of America Drive.

Ronald Frasure of 33 Richmond Drive was arrested Sept. 6 on Barret Road for operating a vehicle under the influence and drug abuse.

A 13-year-old Hopewell Junior High School student and a 14-year-old Lakota East High School student were charged Sept. 4 with theft from Meijer on Tylersville Road.

A 15-year-old Lakota East student was arrested Sept. 3 for robbery, a second-degree felony, after fighting with a loss-prevention officer at Meijer on Tylersville Road. The 17-year-old East student with him was charged with a misdemeanor for theft. The two had been trying to steal Playstation games, over-the-counter medication and deodorant.

A burglar stole a garage door opener from an unlocked car parked on the 7900 block of Wise Avenue and then tried to break into that house around 12:20 p.m. Sept. 2. The suspect fled on foot when the complainant opened the door from the garage to his house.

A burglar entered a home through an open front window between 1 and 6 p.m. Sept. 6 on the 8200 block of Ventle Drive and stole a laptop and a Playstation game console valued at $1,600, a diamond bracelet valued at $1,200, $60 cash and a rotary saw valued at $200.

Maul Thomas of Cincinnati, 32, was charged with a felony for burglary and a misdemeanor for unlawful restraining after breaking into the residence of his ex-girlfriend on the 2200 block of Fox Sedge Way.

A man reported people entered his under-construction rear patio through an unlocked door around 6:15 p.m. Sept. 5 on the 7200 block of Keltner Drive and started a small fire, damaging a window pane and wooden boards.
