Brandon Batin, 19, now is formally charged with kidnapping and aggravated robbery.
Both remain in the Montgomery County Jail and are to be arraigned Dec. 16.
FIRST REPORT
A 19-year-old Dayton man and a 31-year-old Kettering woman are in custody stemming from the Sept. 7 armed robbery of the Little Caesars on East Dorothy Lane.
Kettering police said Brandon Batin was arrested this afternoon by road patrol officers and is being detained in the Montgomery County Jail on no bond.
Brandi Earnest was arrested Monday evening in the 2800 block of Bobbie Place in Kettering.
Batin is charged with aggravated robbery and kidnapping Earnest is charged with complicity to aggravated robbery.
Batin is being detained on no bond. Earnest’s bond has been set at $75,000.
The robbery occurred at the business, 940 E. Dorothy Lane, about 10:30 a.m., police said. The male suspect, armed with a knife, had one employee go into the walk-in cooler and the second employee escorted him to the cash.
The employees were not harmed, police said. “As soon as they opened the back door, he barged in threatened them with a knife and made off with an undetermined amount of money,” Lt. Kevin Kavanaugh said the morning of the robbery.
The male suspect left the rear of the business in an unknown direction. There were no customers at the time of the robbery, police said.
