Jewelry, medications missing from Clayton home

Jewelry and medications were missing from a ransacked home when the 59-year-old woman who lived there returned in the evening to find the sliding back door open in the 7200 block of Mintwood Street.

None of the home’s electronics were taken, and there did not seem to be forced entry even though the woman said all the doors and windows were locked.

A neighbor reported her dogs began barking outside at 10 p.m. when she noticed the rear motion control light was on, but did not make a report.

Diabetic medications and syringes were among the medical supplies taken.
