Stewart was sentenced today in Miamisburg Municipal Court. He will pay fines and court costs of $770 and be given an assessment for alcohol treatment.
Stewart was arrested and charged Dec. 15, 2012 following an incident at the Baum Opera House, 15 S. First St. in Miamisburg.
According to police records, Stewart and another man engaged in a verbal altercation that became physical when Stewart struck the other man.
Stewart, 43, pleaded no contest and was found guilty of the misdemeanor charge Jan. 23.
It was not clear if he would retain his position with Kettering Police.
