Man accused of having sex with minor half his age

LEBANON — A Waynesville man was released from the Warren County Jail on Thursday, a day after he was arraigned for having sex with a minor about half his age.

James Bolin, 30, entered not guilty pleas on two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor during his arraignment hearing on Wednesday in county Common Pleas Court. Both charges are third-degree felonies.

Assistant Prosecutor Matt Nolan said Bolin was released from jail on Thursday under a $10,000 bond. Bolin was also ordered to have no contact with minor children.

Nolan said Bolin allegedly had unlawful sexual conduct with a minor with more than 10 years difference in age.

Nolan said the girl was 15 at the time of the incident that occurred on Sept. 18 in Salem Twp.

“There are no allegations of rape in this case,” Nolan said. “It was consensual but it’s still illegal to have sex with a 15-year-old when you are over 18.”
