Man accused of leading police in chase driving a septic tank truck

LEBANON — A septic tank truck driver who lead police on a chase in his truck from Franklin to his home in Montgomery County had been indicted on a felony charge.

The Warren County grand jury on Friday, Sept. 17 indicted Regan T. Foust, 30, of Dayton for failure to comply, a third-degree felony, and on two charges of operating a vehicle under the influence, both first-degree misdemeanors.

Nolan said police found Foust, who had an open warrent for this arrest, in front of the Franklin Commons Apartments on July 31, when he allegedly drove away from officers driving a septic tank truck. He allegedly led police on the chase through Franklin and on back roads into Montgomery County.

Nolan said Foust allegedly did not comply with police to stop during the chase where he almost struck a Montgomery County Sheriff’s cruiser. Nolan said Foust was eventually arrested after arriving home.

Foust is free on his own recognizance and no arraignment date has been set as of late Monday afternoon, Nolan said.
