Firefighters were called around 1 p.m. March 10 to a home in the 4800 block of Chambersburg Road in Huber Heights, which had heavy smoke coming from a fire believed to have started in the attic. It later was ruled arson.

Burke also is accused of separate incidents involving the thefts of another man’s 2018 Honda Ridgeline and a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis, which belonged to Hearth & Home at Vandalia, according to his indictment.

Burke is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday. He has been held in the Montgomery County Jail since March 12 following his arrest by Vandalia police, jail records show.
