Man loses driver’s license for life, sentenced in deadly Trotwood crash

A Dayton man accused in a 2017 deadly crash in Trotwood was sentenced to eight years in prison and had his driver’s license suspended for life, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Johnnie Lee Moore, 44, was convicted on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide earlier this month.

Moore was accused of causing a crash on Salem Avenue that killed Theresa Abell in November 2017.

He was reportedly going more than 110 mph when he hit Abell’s vehicle near the intersection of Salem and Westbrook Road.

Moore’s vehicle also crossed the median and hit a second vehicle head-on. The driver in the second vehicle was not injured.
