Man robbed behind Chinese restaurant

WEST CHESTER TWP. — Police say they have little to go on in a Friday evening robbery that took place behind a local restaurant.

An employee of the Twin Dragon Buffet and Grill, 7763 Tylersville Road, was taking out garbage behind the restaurant around 7:45 p.m. Friday when he was approached by a masked man holding a gun, according to Sgt. Matt Tombragel of the West Chester Police Department.

The gunman demanded the employee hand over the later’s money and then fled the scene. No physical contact was made between the robber and victim and the victim was physically unharmed following the robbery, Tombragel said.

The subject was described as a black male wearing dark clothing. He had his face covered when he committed the robbery. Tombragel said police have no suspects at this time.

Tombragel said residents should always be cautious when they are going into dark places and be aware of their surroundings.
