A week before the carjacking, Patrick Hall was slain at 4813 Hagan Ave., Jefferson Twp.

Hall, 30, was shot in the torso after three armed men, later identified as Johnigan, Garret and Montgomery, kicked down the door, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Hall’s girlfriend and two children, ages 9 and 13 were in the home. The robbers grabbed the 9-year-old boy and forced him at gunpoint into a bedroom near where Hall was hiding, according to authorities..

They threatened to kill the boy unless Hall provided them with drugs and money. The robbers also forced Hall’s girlfriend to turn off the home’s burglar alarm. As they left the home, they robbed another person who was in a vehicle at a nearby residence, according to authorities.

Hall was pronounced dead at Miami Valley Hospital an hour after he was shot.
