A police report indicates he fired a Baretta 9 mm handgun and wore a black latex glove. Dominique Ladson, 21, said he was in the apartment at 414 Briarwood Avenue with his friend when the gunman knocked on the door and tried to get in.
As he and his friend held the door shut, a single shot was fired and a bullet traveled through the door, striking his friend in the face. Ladson, who spoke of the incident with blood still coating his hands, said he frantically tried to stop his friend from bleeding until an ambulance could arrive.
“He was bleeding out of his neck and mouth and blood came out of his neck,” Ladson said. “I’ve never been part of something like that.”
