Masked man with knife robs Kettering pizza shop

UPDATE @ 11:30 a.m.: Kettering police Lt. Kevin Kavanaugh said the robber, described a 6-foot tall male, wore a black bandanna over his face and knocked on the back door to the business asking for help.

"As soon as they opened the back door, he barged in threatened them with a knife and made off with an undetermined amount of money," Kavanaugh said.

Two female employees had just begun their shifts to open the store when the robbery occurred.

Kavanaugh said while robberies are rare in that part of town, it's the second robbery at the same pizza shop this year.

FIRST TAKE

Police in Kettering responded this morning to a reported robbery at Little Caesars Pizza, 930 E. Dorothy Lane.

The robbery was reported at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Scanner traffic indicated a masked robber displayed a knife.
