Men face charges after fight that led to stabbing

Two Franklin men who were involved in a late night fight that resulted in a stabbing had initial court appearances Friday.

Christian Vick, 34, of Arlington Avenue, was video arraigned Friday in Franklin Municipal Court, on a felonious assault charge, a second-degree felony.

Judge Ronald Ruppert released him on his own recognizance with GPS monitoring and protection orders. A preliminary hearing on the charge was set for June 1.

Timothy Tinch, 32, was also arraigned on a charge of assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. Ruppert set a pre-trial conference on this case for June 12, according to court records.

Franklin police were called to a residence in the 100 block of East Bryant Avenue about 9:45 p.m. on a report of two men injured during a fight. One of the men was stabbed in a fight with another man, who suffered facial injuries in the fracas, according to police.

Both men were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
