Multiple victims shot in Middletown believed to be related cases

UPDATE @ 8:31 a.m. (Nov. 22):

Two shootings within two hours are believed to be related, according to Middletown Assistant Police Chief Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said the double shooting in the parking lot of the Third Base Saloon involved patrons who were inside the bar and were involved in an altercation after leaving the establishment Monday night around 9:45 p.m.

A second shooting in the 300 block of Park Street was reported and involved up to three people being injured by gunfire around 11:20 p.m.

Hoffman said the victims in both shootings are not being cooperative with police.

According to Hoffman, the police department will be evaluating whether the Third Base Saloon would fall into the chronic nuisance ordinance in place with the city.

We’re working to learn the conditions of the five people reportedly injured in the shootings.

INITIAL REPORT:

Two people were shot at the Third Base Saloon in Middletown Monday night, the first of two shootings in the city within two hours.

The conditions of the two people shot at the Third Base saloon were not available. The shootings were reported around 9:45 p.m.

Later Monday night, police and medics responded to the 300 block of Park Street where three people were reportedly shot.

It’s unknown if the shootings are related.
